A camera that can capture stunning photos and DSLR-like blur effects on-the-go, an octa-core processor for lightning-fast performance and craftsmanship that’s premium on all end.

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the Honor 8 android smartphone in India. On a quick glance, the smartphone features 12MP dual camera sensors, an octa-core processor with 4GB RAM, premium metal build quality and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.

The Honor 8 got a price tag of Rs 29,999 and will be available through all major online retail stores. Additionally you will also get a two-year warranty with the smartphone.

For a super premium look and feel, the Honor 8 got a metal frame covered in a 2.5D front and back glass design. The edges are round assured by aluminum alloy and come with ultra-narrow bezel design. The mobile flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD display that’s covered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Under the hood, the Honor 8 carries a Huawei’s octa-core Kirin 950 processor built on a 16nm architecture. It’s coupled with 4GB of RAM to offer seamless multitasking and gaming experience. The CPU chipset also carries a dedicated i5 co-processor, which controls various sensors in the mobile offering better response time, and battery life.

To store all your captured photos, videos and other content the mobile comes with 32GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.

Now to the main attraction of Honor 8, the two 12-megapixel camera sensors on the back. The camera comes with an aperture of f/2.2 and pixel size of 1.76-micron. One lens with RGB sensor captures rich colors, whereas the other lens with monochrome sensor captures more light with increased sharpness. This amazing combination helps you capture crisper, sharper, and more details photos. The back camera also comes with hybrid auto-focus, that uses laser focus for short range, precise depth focus for long range.

Another added feature of Honor 8 camera is the wide aperture mode, that enables you to capture bokeh effect or blur background effect like in DSLR. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got an 8-megapixel camera.

On the connectivity side, the Honor 8 comes with 4G LTE that supports all Indian 4G bands along with VoLTE for HD voice calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The mobile got USB Type-C port for both charging and data transfer. For added security, the smartphone includes a 3D fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock your mobile in 0.4 seconds.
