See the top dark bar that runs across the top of the browser when you go to any Google property, the Google navigation bar, it’s getting a complete new overhaul and redesign. The dark bar was launched 6months before with the Google+ social networking launch.  The top bar offers easy access to most of the Google’s products, and this new redesign helps in more consistent, streamlined user experience and increased visibility of the most popular services.

Google new top bar features, on the left, the Google logo contains a drop-down menu with links to Google services that displays when anyone hover over or click on it. The central area contains a search box for the Google service you are currently using. The right side features a share box and notifications to participate on Google+ from any Google page. Even if a user is not signed in to his/her Google account, he/she can still navigate to Google’s services through the drop-down menu displayed under Google’s logo.

When visiting the Google homepage, the Google bar’s product menu may be expanded, displaying top Google products. Click the “More” section to reach additional properties. The Google bar’s notifications icon displays the number of alerts on your Google+ account, which can show you new people who added you to a circle, activity on your stream, or posts shared directly with you. You can view these notifications by clicking on the number in the red box.

Google Technical Lead Eddie Kessler said on a blog post: “Making navigation and sharing super simple for people is a key part of our efforts to transform the overall Google experience, which is why we’re very excited about this redesign. We’ll show you a list of links and you can access additional services by hovering over the “More” link at the bottom of the list. Click on what you want, and you’re off.

The new redesign will be launched soon to all users in coming week, on the way check the video to know more about the features
