Now buy and read thousands of Indian and international titles, from new releases to classics on Google play. Google has officially launched books on Google Play store in India.
Indian users can now easy find and buy books from great Indian authors such as Amish Tripathi, Devdutt Pattanaik and APJ Abdul Kalam, plus international bestsellers from the world’s largest ebookstore, carrying over 4 million titles. There are thousands of free books to get started, the paid section have books starting as low as Rs 35. The price seems to be reasonable when compared to Flipkart and Amazon India book store, there is just small rupees difference.

Books on Google Play can be read on any device of user choice, ranging from the web, a phone, or a tablet and pick up right where user left off, as all are sync on cloud. User will be able to discover, purchase and read books on Android and iOS based smartphones and tablets, on web browser through dedicated Google books site and on Google Play Books app available for both Android and Apple iOS devices.
