With rumors spoiling the wow factor, Apple has finally unveiled its budget friendly iPhone 5c and the next generation iPhone 5s along with the completely overhauled iOS 7 mobile operating system. The main highlight of the event was the budget friendly iPhone 5c which features 4inch Retina display, A6 chip, 8 megapixel iSight camera, five new color options and the latest iOS 7. In-addition Apple also unveiled its most forward-thinking iPhone yet with iPhone 5s featuring an all new A7 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, iOS 7, a new 8 megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

Apple iPhone 5c

In an effort to bring the innovative Apple products in the hands of more people, they have launched a cheaper version of iPhone named the iPhone 5c. It features an all-new design crafted from a single, hard-coated polycarbonate body with a steel reinforced frame. In-addition the steel frame doubles the iPhone 5c’s multiband antenna. It comes in five gorgeous colors — blue, green, pink, yellow and white along with six matte, microfiber-lined cases.

It spots a 4-inch Retina display and packs an Apple-designed A6 chip that provides proven performance and greater power efficiency along with better battery life. It also got an 8 megapixel iSight camera along with a new FaceTime HD camera. It comes with support for 13 LTE wireless bands, dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi support and Bluetooth 4.0. iPhone 5c runs on the latest completely overhauled iOS 7 that has a new user interface, completely redesigned with an elegant color palette, distinct, functional layers and subtle motion. It also include the all new Control Center, Notification Center, improved Multitasking, AirDrop, enhanced Photos, Safari, Siri and introduces iTunes Radio, a free Internet radio service based on the music you listen to on iTunes.

Apple assures that iPhone 5c battery will deliver up to 10 hours of talk time on 3G networks, up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi and LTE networks and up to 8 hours on 3G networks, and up to 10 hours of video playback and up to 40 hours of audio playback.

Apple iPhone 5c is priced in US at $99 for the 16GB model and $199 for the 32GB model on a two-year contract.  If you intend to buy out of the contract, an unlocked iPhone 5c version is priced at whopping $549 making it a very premium smartphone when it comes to India and not an affordable cheap iPhone. Apple iPhone 5c will be up on pre-order from September 13 and available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK Apple stores from September 20, 2013.

Apple iPhone 5s

Joining the long tradition, Apple has unveiled the next illustration of iPhone which it says the most forward-thinking iPhone yet. iPhone 5s featuring an all new Apple designed A7 chip that brings 64-bit desktop-class architecture to a smartphone for the first time providing twice the CPU and graphics performance from the previous iPhone. Apple also engineered iOS 7 and all the built-in apps to maximize the performance of the A7 chip utilizing the 64-bit architecture. It also supports OpenGL ES version 3.0 providing rich and complex visual effects. In addition to the A7 chip, Apple has also included a new M7 motion coprocessor that gathers data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass. Along with the CoreMotion APIs that take advantage of M7 developers can create even better fitness and activity apps.

Another highlighting feature is the Touch ID, an innovative simple and secure way to unlock iPhone using the finger print technology. Built into the home button, Touch ID uses a laser cut sapphire crystal, together with the capacitive touch sensor, to take a high-resolution image of users fingerprint and intelligently analyze it to provide accurate readings from any angle. All fingerprint information is encrypted and stored securely in the Secure Enclave inside the A7 chip on the iPhone 5s and never send to Apple servers.

iPhone 5s also features a 4-inch Retina display and glass inlays. It has an precision-crafted design which includes an anodized aluminum body with diamond cut chamfered edges. It got a new 8 megapixel iSight camera featuring a larger f/2.2 aperture and a larger sensor with 1.5? pixels providing better  low-light performance. The camera also got a new True Tone flash which offers variable adjustable color and intensity for over 1,000 combinations. To accompany it Apple has a new Camera app in iOS 7 that provides up to two-times faster auto-focus, faster photo capture, automatic image and video stabilization, and better dynamic range.

iPhone 5s comes with iOS 7, the most significant iOS update since the original iPhone, engineered for 64-bit technology and featuring hundreds of great new features, including Control Center, Notification Center, improved Multitasking, AirDrop, enhanced Photos, Safari, Siri and iTunes Radio. Apple iPhone 5s will be available in gold, silver and space gray color variations and is priced in US at $199 for 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model on contract. iPhone 5s will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK on September 20,2013.
