World’s largest online retailer Amazon made its second biggest move in India by the launch of India Kindle Store on Amazon.com (www.amazon.com/kindlestoreindia) with the largest selection of books, including the most bestsellers, and lowest prices of any e-bookstore in India. Indian customers can now purchase Kindle the world’s bestselling e-reader available at  TATA Croma retail stores (Kindle e-reader Wi-Fi) across India and priced at Rs 6,999.

Earlier this year Amazon made its first step to Indian online space with the launch of Junglee.com an online shopping comparison service which enables customers to find and discover products from online and offline retailers in India and from Amazon.com global portal.

The India Kindle Store offers over one million books priced in Indian Rupees (INR). It also features a vast selection of Indian titles, New Releases, Bestsellers, and works from a range of Indian authors, including Chetan Bhagat, Ashwin Sanghi, Ravinder Singh and Amish Tripathi. Users will also find exclusive Kindle books such as “Love, Life and a Beer Can” by Prashant Sharma, and “Reality Bites; a not so innocent Love Story” by Anurag Anand as well as over one million free classics available to download digitally and read on Kindle.
