The music streaming app from India’s top telecom operator Airtel just hit a new milestone. The Airtel Wynk Music app has crossed 25 million downloads on Google Play store and Apple iTunes combined since its launch in September 2015.

If you are not among the 25 million users, then Airtel Wynk Music is a music streaming service just like Saavn, Gaana, and Hungama. It got a great collection of songs from over 500 music labels in 12 languages which of course include all major Indian regional languages.

Airtel Wynk Music also offers curated playlists across genres and moods. One can choose from free and paid (Wynk Plus) plans to download the songs for offline listening and get rid of the ads.

If you are an Airtel customer with an active 3G or 4G data plan, then you can get a free Wynk Music subscription. Also if you are first-time Wynk user then Airtel is giving up to 1.2GB free 3G/4G data on installing the app.

We are thrilled to see such love from our users and this will add to our motivation to keep delighting our users with a great in-app experience through constant innovation,” said Kartik Sheth, CEO, Wynk, in a statement. “Given the importance of music our lives, we believe we have only scratched the surface as far as the potential of music streaming goes,” he added.

Pulling up the statistics, Wynk Music app currently plays over 15 million songs a day to the customers. The average time spent by its users a month is estimated to be around five hours. Interestingly more than 60 percent of the users who have installed Wynk Music app are non-artel subscribers.

Airtel Wynk Music is primarily available as a mobile app for both Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices. One can also stream music from their mobile browser (also on a desktop browser) by going to Wynk Music [wynk.in/music].
